Chamisa: victim of own propaganda

DEAR EDITOR - ICT Minister Nelson Chamisa has had some powers chopped from him. This was not surprising for many of us, but was a long time coming. A minister who spends more time spewing propaganda and giving interviews to foreign-based pirate radio stations cannot be entirely focussed on the job at hand.

In any case, Chamisa's party, the Movement for Democratic Change, signed a Global Political Agreement (GPA) in which they agreed to stop pirate radio stations from spewing propaganda. Why is he then involved with them?

Chamisa has run his mouth many times, saying that the MDC-T party is in government "to take power from Zanu-PF". He should not be surprised if the same happens to him; that is if Zanu-PF takes power from him.

Chamisa should start concentrating on the job at hand, rather than clearly defy the GPA by speaking to foreign-based stations.

I would be concerned to have Chamisa responsible for our national security apparatus; not only because of his highly hormonal response to many issues, but because of his lack of a clear head when it comes to many issues, which are too multiple to name here.

All I can say is that MDC-T leader, Morgan Tsvangirai should have reached out to professionals and experts, rather than reward cronies with ministerial jobs that are clearly above their abilities.
